The old Carnegie Library houses the Stevens County Historical Society Museum. The Museum is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is well worth a visit. The Museum staff maintain professional standards of artifact care and display. With several towns in the County celebrating their centennials in the past few years, the Museum is rich in local history. Permanent exhibits are tastefully displayed. In addition to the museum exhibits, the historical society also archives research materials such as old newspapers, maps, cemetary records and local school and orginazational records. In 2005 a significant addition to the building nearly doubled the display and artifact storage space.
